Job Title: Project Manager
Department: Client Services

Position Overview
The Project Manager will oversee, advise, and coordinate the implementation of MedAptus applications. This individual will work with others within Client Services, including Technical Support, Integration, and Management, to successfully implement the software for various physician and hospital practices.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Oversees and manages the full project lifecycle from the Sales to Services handoff to the Go-Live event
  • Coordinates various parties involved with the implementation of the MedAptus solution, including managing internal and external expectations and resources
  • Creates and maintains a project plan for the Customer and internally
  • Defines and measures deadlines and milestones
  • Analyzes existing customer business flow to determine how the MedAptus solution will address their needs
  • Establishes an understanding of customer business and technical infrastructures for proper translation to the MedAptus solution
  • Tests software to ensure a smooth installation
  • Performs training of the software in person at the customer site and remotely over the Internet utilizing web tools
  • Troubleshoots issues and clearly reports them to the technical staff and development
  • Ensures a timely and proper installation of all work items through diligent resource management
  • Captures and reports new feature requests to development
  • Identifies and communicates additional revenue opportunities to Account Management and Sales
  • Creates, organizes and updates customer documentation as newer versions of software becomes available

Required Education, Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • BA/BS Degree, or equivalent
  • 4+ years project management/implementation experience in a healthcare environment
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Windows
  • End-user software training experience required
  • Must have excellent presentation skills
  • Flexible to adapt to a dynamic and rapidly growing organization
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple concurrent projects under time constraints
  • Experience in configuration management and associated documentation and certification processes
  • Ability to follow-up and resolve issues in a timely manner to satisfy the client
  • Outstanding communication, organization team and customer relationship skills
  • System testing and quality assurance experience a plus
  • Physician office information technology, or healthcare information technology experience a plus
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN, hardware, and peripherals a plus
  • Must be able to travel 50%+
