How it Works - A group’s various clinical systems are interfaced to the application, which shares a patient pick list with Professional Charge Capture. The patient’s Results record updates as new data is available to the system – it takes only seconds during the patient encounter to access results in the context of patient history and the current problem list.

The Clinical Results application utilizes an interface engine that translates and integrates incoming data streams from various clinical systems to a results server. When physicians' request results from their devices, a real-time call is made to the server. The server then returns the requested information back to the handheld, where it is displayed.

All data transfer is encrypted using state of the art security standards and is fully HIPAA compliant.

And while many similar systems are limited by how much data can be displayed in terms of length-of-time - perhaps one week or one month - the MedAptus solution has the power to display a complete record of patient results that is not bound by time parameters.
