LAURENCE J. HAGERTY

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Hagerty has overall responsibility for MedAptus business activities.  He has extensive executive experience with information, information systems, and information services companies in both healthcare and financial services industry sectors.  Prior to re-joining the MedAptus management team in early 2019, Mr. Hagerty was Senior Vice President and General Manager at Verafore, Inc., a leading supplier of software solutions for the insurance industry.  He was President of MedAptus from 2009 to 2013 and has served as a Director of the company continuously since 2009.

Mr. Hagerty served as Chief Executive Officer of Medstat, a leading healthcare information and analytics company, from 1995 to 2005 while it was part of Thomson Reuters. From 1987 to 1993, when the firm was an independent public company, he served as Medstat’s President and Chief Operating Officer. He has also held executive and professional positions at R.L. Polk & Co., Johnson Controls, and Arthur Andersen & Co.

Mr. Hagerty earned a BS degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1975 and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 1979.  He is currently a member of the Health Policy & Management Executive Council at the Harvard School of Public Health.

EUGENE C. SCHNEIDER

Retiring Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Schneider has direct responsibility for all MedAptus business operations. A seasoned executive with over 25 years of executive management experience in healthcare information, software and services, Mr. Schneider began working with MedAptus in 2010 in a consulting capacity. Prior to joining MedAptus he was the Chief Operating Officer at MDS, a privately-held healthcare revenue cycle services company. Mr. Schneider also served as Chief Executive Officer at HealthAnswers, a pharmaceutical industry information services provider; Senior Vice President at Ingenix (now Optum); Executive Vice President and General Manager at Medstat (now Truven Health Analytics); and as Partner at Ernst & Young, where he was the National Director for Insurance Technology Services.

Mr. Schneider holds a BS degree from Western Illinois University.

RYAN SECAN, MD, MPH

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Secan is responsible for guiding MedAptus’ communications with its physician user base as well as the clinical aspects of the company’s products and services. He is currently a practicing hospitalist at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Massachusetts. Dr. Secan has previous experience serving as medical director of hospitalist programs at two Massachusetts hospitals and has also led the deployment of mobile computing in the hospital setting.

Dr. Secan holds a B.A. from the University of Rochester, and received his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and later went on to obtain a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University. Dr. Secan is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians as well as the Society of Hospital Medicine.

SUSAN KATZ SLISKI, DNP, RN, CCM, FAAOHN

Chief Nursing Officer

Dr. Katz Sliski is responsible for the development of the company’s flagship patient assignment product for nurses — ASSIGNCARE for Nurses, along with design and development of the other assignment products in the ASSIGNCARE product line. Dr. Katz Sliski has more than four decades of nursing and nurse management experience, including leading innovative initiatives with healthcare organizations to improve patient and provider experiences, drive organizational effectiveness and decrease costs.

She holds her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and her Master of Science in Nursing Business and Leadership (MSN) from the Regis College School of Nursing, and she received her Bachelor of Science from Boston University. She is a registered nurse and a Fellow of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses Association (FAAOHN).

DAN NOTTINGHAM

Vice President, Product Management

Mr. Nottingham’s has over 20 years of experience in healthcare technology. Before coming to MedAptus to lead the company’s product management area, Dan successfully launched several new products into the healthcare market – these include ILLUMINATE for the transition of care (ABILITY Network), Cortext for secure mobile messaging (Imprivata), and Kronos Mobile for nurse scheduling/staffing (Kronos). Mr. Nottingham also spent time with McKesson Corporation and Codman Research Group where he helped to define and create healthcare analytic products based on claims data. Before launching a career in healthcare technology, Mr. Nottingham was a staff scientist at Boston University’s Center for Space Physics.

Mr. Nottingham holds a BS degree in Physics, with a minor in Astronomy, from Sonoma State University.

MALACHI CHARBONNEAU

Vice President, Sales and Account Management

Mr. Charbonneau has overall responsibility for MedAptus sales and account management activities.  He has been with MedAptus since 2011 and has held a series of increasingly responsible client services and operational roles with the company.  Immediately prior to taking on responsibility for sales and account management, Mr. Charbonneau was Vice President, Client Services where he was responsible for MedAptus customer implementation and project work.

Prior to joining MedAptus, Mr. Charbonneau worked in a professional services and customer support capacity for Meditech, a major EMR and enterprise healthcare software solutions provider.  He is familiar with a wide range of healthcare system technology solutions and interoperability requirements.

Mr. Charbonneau received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems from Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
